PRESS STATEMENT

The Executive Secretary of the Borno Geographic Information Service (BOGIS), Engr. Adam Bukar Bababe, has resigned from his position as Pioneer Executive Secretary of the agency.

In a letter dated 30th March 2026, Engr. Bababe stated that his resignation is to enable him fully pursue personal assignments that require his full attention and resources.

He expressed sincere appreciation to his Excellency, the Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, for the confidence reposed in him to serve as the Pioneer Executive Secretary of BOGIS. He described the opportunity as rare and significant, which allowed him to contribute his quota to the enhancement of land administration and management in the state, in line with the 25-Year Development Plan of the present administration.

He has since handed over the affairs of the agency to the Legal Adviser, Barrister Mustapha Ali Ibrahim, on Wednesday, 1st April 2026.
