Congratulations to all the international students completing their programs in Canada this month.
Two (2) important things to note if you are applying for a Postgraduate work permit (PGWP) after studying in Canada
We raised awareness on this earlier in the year, but it is still causing refusals for many applicants or a delayed ability to work
1) Language Test Requirements
Don't forget to include your language test in your application.
Thereโs currently no placeholder in the application portal for you to upload the language test result, but IRCC has said you should use the client information section.
If your application is refused after the 180-day eligibility period (from the date you completed your studies), you may no longer be eligible to reapply. This means losing the chance to get a PGWP with that completed study/program.
2) Medical Exam (for eligibility to work in Healthcare or Vulnerable Sectors)
If you plan to work in certain jobs where public health is protected, you must indicate this and provide evidence of your Immigration Medical Exam in your application.
If you don't, you will receive a work permit that restricts you from jobs such as healthcare, childcare, care work, education, and more.
NB: Some in-Canada applicants may be able to use their existing medical test results (if done in the last 5 years), see details at https://t.co/ViqWBY8bNy
In these days and times, when work experience in the above sectors is being prioritized for permanent residence, you don't want to deny yourself the opportunity of a lifetime.
If you've applied and forgot to provide any of these documents, get them and send them to IRCC by webform before a decision is made on your application
If a decision has already been made on your PGWP application and it was refused, or you have the restriction on your work permit, speak to a competent Immigration Lawyer or consultant about your next steps.
All the best โจ
Some of our Nigerian players have been so Europeanised in football basics. Ball wey you go open toros make e roll for the other player for shot, you dey control am. Why now? #AFCON2025
South Africa lost the game themselves! No patience to build good play and atleast equalize, against 10 men.
Rush Rush nor dey give goal.
I think the no penalty call was wrong though.

#AFCON2025 The Egyptian coach told his players to stay focused and keep cool after M. Salah converted the PK.
No, M. Hany decided to pick up a second Yellow card and get sent off.
#AFCON2025 is setting up to be very interesting!
Cameroon vs. Gabon was was hot metal all the way.
Most teams have shown speed and physicality.
Nigeria needs to step up.
