The Supreme Court has refused to allow the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC faction to operate four frozen bank accounts. The accounts, holding around ₹804 crore, were frozen by the West Bengal Police. The Court has asked the Calcutta High Court to hear on the matter.
My legal counsel has sent a notice to @TimesNow to immediately remove the AI video depicting the murder of Chongtham Vikram Singh and issue a public apology within 24 hours. @DEKAMEGHNA

Bright young lawyers, sharp questions, and a shared commitment to the Constitution….
Delighted to brief a group of young lawyers working with @INCIndia’s legal cell and to respond to their questions on my views on the issues currently facing the nation.

#WATCH | Delhi: After meeting at the party office, Congress MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi says, "It was an internal meeting. I found it a very special occasion as I was felicitated. We welcomed Pawan Khera, and we recounted stories from the entire journey, from his last case to this one. I believe this fosters a bond...I'm very happy that such a program was organised. There was no political involvement in it."
I thank the Hon’ble Supreme Court for upholding the rule of law, and @DrAMSinghvi along with the AICC Law Department for their timely and steadfast interventions. For the second time, Dr Singhvi & his sharp team - @lawyerkhanmd & Omar Hoda - have defended my liberty amid sustained threats & intimidation by the Assam CM.
I am deeply grateful to Smt Sonia Gandhi, Shri Mallikarjun @kharge, Shri @RahulGandhi, Smt @priyankagandhi, Shri @kcvenugopalmp, and Shri @Jairam_Ramesh for their unwavering support and encouragement.
Finally, I thank the millions of @INCIndia supporters who stood by me with their voices and prayers.
My bail is not only a personal victory and a source of relief, but also a reminder to those who misuse state power that as long as we remain a Constitutional Democracy, personal liberty cannot be sacrificed for political vendetta.
No matter, how formidable falsehood may seem, it is the truth that triumphs.

Based on the logical arguments presented by renowned lawyers of the country, Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi ji,
Mr. M. Khan, and other fellow advocates, Mr. Pawan Khera received justice.@DrAMSinghvi @Pawankhera @lawyerkhanmd
A tense courtroom exchange unfolded as the Supreme Court questioned Pawan Khera’s move to approach the Telangana High Court instead of Assam.
“Why Telangana? Why not Assam?” — the Bench pressed, raising serious doubts over jurisdiction and disclosures in the plea.
Senior Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi defended the urgency, citing Khera’s Hyderabad connection and calling it a “technical error” in a liberty matter. But the Court wasn’t convinced — “How can you call this a small error?”
Despite strong arguments and a plea for temporary protection till Tuesday, the Supreme Court refused to extend transit anticipatory bail and made its stance clear:
👉 “You go and file a petition in Assam.”
Bottom line — no relief from SC, all eyes now on the Gauhati High Court.@DrAMSinghvi

A fiery courtroom moment unfolded in the Supreme Court of India as Senior Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Solicitor General Tushar Mehta clashed during a heated exchange — with Singhvi snapping,
“Mr. Mehta, don’t interrupt me!” ⚖️🔥
But beyond the drama, the legal stakes were serious.
The Supreme Court refused to extend the transit anticipatory bail earlier granted to Congress leader Pawan Khera by the Telangana High Court in a case filed by Assam Police. The case involves allegations of defamation, forgery, and criminal conspiracy.
A Bench of Justices JK Maheshwari and AS Chandurkar made its position clear:
👉 “You go and file a petition in Assam. The court will take up.”
This means no immediate relief from the Supreme Court — and Khera must now approach the competent court in Assam for further protection.
💥 Was this just a procedural decision… or a major setback?
💥 Is this about legal discipline or political implications?
Watch the full breakdown as we decode the arguments, the courtroom tension, and what this means going forward.@DrAMSinghvi

@Jhunjhunuwala_@HPhobiaWatch Oye you cowardly piece of garbage. This is my wife. Let’s see how brave you are when faced with a criminal investigation for harassment. Have taken screenshots of some of the other criminal content on your profiles as well. Look fwd to seeing you justify it in person.
Teaching #InvestigativeJournalism.
One of the most critical skills for investigative journalism is navigating India's defamation laws and learning how to craft accurate assertions based on the evidence.
This week two brilliant legal eagles who oversee all @reporters_co reportage for legal accuracy and safety, @lawyerkhanmd and @omarhoda46 will be teaching my students How Defamation Works (Or Not) in India.
This class, I will be a student as well.
As part of the course on Data and Investigative Journalism.
#WATCH | Delhi: Congress Leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi says, "... The Congress Department of Law, Human Rights, and RTI, which I have the privilege of chairing, and the entire team in this department, is gratified to let you know principally four initiatives which are at a very advanced stage of implementation and will be operationalised in the near future. The first is the INC Legal Fellows Program. A program which is intended to associate young minds who are inquisitive and have a certain inclination for the ideals and the rules and the principles for which the Congress stands, to rope them into an internship program, roughly a three-month program, which will associate them with parliamentarians, give them an insight into the inner workings of an opposition party. We will allow them to assist parliamentarians, allow them to be involved in the Congress social media department, and so on... I think the important thing there is that young minds constitute a legal spine according to us..."

The Right to Vote can’t be disregarded by a ‘Special Intensive Revision’ of Voter rolls.
The bureaucratic burden placed on the poor, the migrants, daily wage workers and vulnerable sections of people is leading to disenfranchisement.
A machine readable format of Electoral Rolls, that @ECISVEEP continues to deny for undisclosed reasons, is the first step for removing opacity and ensuring transparency.
“Clean Rolls” can’t become a euphemism for “cleaning out” citizens.
