Only 30 AN 32 aircrafts where upgraded from which only 29 are left after in 2016 mysteriously AN 32 aircraft went missing..
Reminder even father of Flt Lt Kunal Barpatte who was in the same flight wants AN 32 to be replaced.

2014 correct when they dealed for engine replacement,25 billion were about to spent but also read that the upgradation was stopped there so many AN 32's flying without upgradation..Also there no spare parts production anymore and if not wrong that are required for it

Upgradation will not help as for that spare parts are most important.. Spare part is out of production after situation went bad with Ukraine..

India bought 125 AN 32 aircrafts in 1983 due to good relations btw USSR (Soviet Union that time) n former PM Indira Gandhi. After the purchase AN 32 came in 1986 from which already 1 went missing on route to India @ 22 march 86 and another crashed in J&K @ 25 March 86

I'd a word with a pilot, as per him AN 32 is an unsafe military aircarft. He also says that it is a vintage aircraft and it has out lived it's life. He will be very happy if it gets replaced.

Antonov AN 32 production started in 1980.. So if we calculate by the production it is 40 years old but if we calculate with An 26 production date i.e., 1969 that means it is 50 years old.. Why this calculation? look at previous tweet..
