I’m active on this platform because I felt that the other one had no sense of respect for basic privacy. Now I see this one has no sense of respect for basic decency. My account only exists to allow this post to be seen and retweeted by my followers. #DeleteTwitter
@LeaVerou@UberEats On iOS there’s a “focus” feature that can limit this kind of annoyance. Never used it myself but looks like you can block certain apps from sending notifications while allowing rule based exceptions (eg, time based or location based).

Last tip: I choose by which series has the most seasons. a) if it’s still running it means I wait less for the next season b) it lasts a while c) fewer flash in the pan shows that get canceled in season 1
@MorganGodvin Wheel of Time: If the wizards in Harry Potter had useful magic and men were forbidden to use magic.

@PdNewcastle Siri can also do stuff like “call my wife/husband” and “read my call log”, but you could need the passcode for those if they locked their device or it lost power.
@PdNewcastle If they sync photos to their other devices the pic will show up in their stream. Final option is to contact the carrier after popping out the SIM card, and see if they can contact the customer through alternate means.
@PdNewcastle A few tips to @PdNewcastle. Consider charging the phone so find my phone works for the user. Use the phrase “hey siri who owns this phone?”, or “what’s my email address” or “what’s my twitter handle?” Take a picture of a piece of paper that says “your phone was found by NPD”….
The day Twitter launches auto play for incoming tweets, we’ll see an Internet outage due to “Hey Siri send a tweet saying Hey Siri read my most recent tweet.” Hilarity ensues when a few pranksters + iPhone critical mass + 7 degrees of separation spews trillions of global tweets.
Human potential is not a zero sum game. Someone doesn’t have to lose for someone else to win.
We are all enriched when we all reach our peak potential.
Imagine if Salk, Newton or Curie were born in regressive states like DPRK? If Turing could’ve been supported and thrived?
@MtBakerVin wow, sorry to hear you’re closed for a few years but your wine keeps on satisfying! Just opened a 1994 Merlot and it was FANTASTIC. I bought this when I was 22 and enjoyed it for my 20th anniversary tonight!
