Ukraine is the not the first or only ex-Soviet state that Russia threatened, schemed against, attacked, invaded, blockaded, pushed into a war. Russia did this to Moldova, to Azerbaijan, to Georgia, to Kazakhstan. Ukraine is just the first instance that the West reacted to it.
