Iโm not really a big reader. In fact, the only thing I enjoy reading is the dictionary. I have a hard time maintaining my enthusiasm for reading a book because my attention span is so short that I end up doing something else after reading just the first two lines.
So, since thereโs not much to do on weekends & I think everyone knows how much I like writing, even if it sometimes comes out distasteful or nonsensical,Iโll prolly spend these idle hrs encountering a few not-so-common words each day (AโZ),then writing a short poem about each one.
Even with a more-than-decent income, I still find myself struggling to keep up with unexpected bills, not because Iโm careless with money, but because the weight of othersโ needs often falls on me.
Sometimes I get tired of always being the giver. It feels like no matter how much I earn or how careful I try to be, Iโm always picking up the pieces for everyone else. And the truth is, I donโt even know when I started putting myself last.

Just stumbled upon the Facebook account of my old best friend from high school. He's married now.
A part of me felt quietly happy, watching him step into that lifeโbecoming a family man, steady and whole in a way we once only imagined.
Some endings donโt need words to wound. And maybe no one truly forgets what it feels like to be abandoned by the person who once felt like home.
Itโs a quiet kind of grief. The kind that doesnโt raise its voice, but settles in and stays.
