On the eve of 1948 Jews owned 6–7% of Mandatory Palestine. Most of it was bought from large absentee landlords, not from the peasants cultivating the land. The mass displacement didn’t happen because Palestinians sold everything and then cried “scary Jews.” It happened during a war that began after the Arab side rejected the UN partition plan and invaded.
So you got both the numbers and the timeline wrong… while calling people goat fuckers.
