Yes, I know school closures had an impact on children, but it was sadly unavoidable. Could children have been better supported? Yes. But the shit that's happening now is avoidable- but no is talking about it. No one is talking about the families & children who're struggling. Now.

How much loss of education has happened since schools have been open due to ill children not attending school? Stats show very high absence rates compared to pre-pandemic times- and that the cause is illness?

I'm so tired of the hypocrisy of these systems and organisations who always place the welfare of children last while suggesting that the safest place for children is in places of unmitigated infection. This isn't about children's welfare at all. It's all about ideology.
