On the flip side, we’ve also seen a fair amount of broke-shaming coming from some sisters.

“How dare a broke man want to get married?” Like poor man no get blood for neck.

Neglecting the fact that most “made men” started from a place of nothing. The ratio of made men to struggling men is heavily skewed toward the latter. And many of the made men you admire today are already married, or remained loyal to the women who stayed with them when they had nothing.

This is in no way an attempt to justify the vitriol being poured around, whether out of insensitivity or as retaliation. It is simply to criticize how easily we place ourselves on imaginary pedestals and apply nonsensical stereotypes to other people.
