Re-expansion pulm. edema: rare important cause unilateral edema after (wait for it) rapid lung expansion after thoracentesis or PTX. Mortality up to 20%, prevent by removing < 1.5 L fluid. Complete recovery after < 1 week in this case. #chestraded #FOAMrad #FOAMed
