*If You Love your Country, Read till End*
Till 2024 (pre-AI revolution), India was largely running on autopilot, guided by the economic policies of Narasimha Rao, Vajpayee, and Manmohan Singh.
The model was straightforward: India had a huge population and a massive demographic dividend.
American companies gained access to a young, low-cost workforce, creating a win-win situation for India through outsourcing and IT/services growth.
However, till 2024, I saw no major new economic policy breakthroughs or bold reforms from the current government.
Now, after 2024, the AI revolution has truly begun and India has missed the bus once again.
In the coming years, our huge population could become a liability rather than an asset if AI replaces many of the routine jobs and services we currently provide.
Why would American companies continue sending work and money here if AI can do it cheaper, faster, and better?
This explains why FIIs are pulling out and why the Indian market has delivered negative returns in recent times.
If this continues, we are not going to become a superpower by 2047. The risks ahead are far greater than most people realise.
India urgently needs major policy changes.
But no one seems to be listening and it appears they won’t listen either.

GSTN portal was totally down on 20-4-2026 (last date of filing 3B for Mar 26) till the late couple of hours. Is it justified that taxpayers / professionals be asked to wait all day and sit up at night after business hours to file their returns else face penalty?
Statute gives seven days for preparing GSTR-3B and that involves from verification to filing because any error results in Interest and Penalty.
In those six days, if someone says why come on last day..it is because the return has to be prepared, checked and verified not only from the books of accounts but also Portal generated documents which are generated on the basis of third party compliance.
Better the last date theory is not put up here and the portal is upgraded because this is the portal which is generating something like 24 Lakh crore yearly as a revenue for the governments and if this cannot be corrected then nothing deserves in the country...@FinMinIndia
Please extend due date for March GSTR-3B & protect from Late fee
Returns could not be filed entire day due to portal glitches & the problem has been reported at a mass level.
If not extended, then what would be the valid & moral reason for the same? @Infosys_GSTN@cbic_india
Wondering why @theicai and Elected CCM are not raising issues about the non-working GST site today on the due date?
Ideally, it's their job to communicate with the government.
What do you think?
GST Portal again failing on crucial due dates!!
With strict GST timelines, a working portal is the bare minimum.Faulty systems on last dates waste thousands of man-hours, burden taxpayers with undue interest.
Due date should be extended immediately @Infosys_GSTN@cbic_india

Dear @Infosys_GSTN
Is there any accountability left or not?
Today’s situation has crossed all limits.
It would be better to clearly inform taxpayers not to attempt filing returns today, as the system is simply not working.
By tomorrow, everything will be processed along with interest and late fees—putting the burden unfairly on users.

After failing on GSTR-1 due date, the portal is now failing to work on GSTR-3B due date as well.
They need interest as well, not just ITC disallowance in 2B

In my entire professional life as a CA I have never seen such consistent failure of a statutory compliance portal.
Hours of productive time wasted.
Repeated disruptions.
And ultimately mental harassment of taxpayers and professionals.
Perhaps it’s time to seriously examine accountability even through a PIL…

Now issue in captcha & GSTR1 also. Grievance filed for 1 RTP with 4 screenshots vide G-202604203762255. surprisingly, portal is also not allowing to download grievance, need to identify the number by using search criteria as per enclosed screenshot. @Infosys_GSTN@FinMinIndia

World is exploring Artificial Intelligence with full force and here we are - struggling for a properly working portal. Bad example for Digital India
Portal is either not loading properly or getting logged out as per sample screenshot attached in almost all taxpayers, so provide proper working portal as today is last date for GSTR3B of March 26 @Infosys_GSTN@GST_Council@FinMinIndia
My Experience at WOfA: The Rise of an Unacceptable 'VIP Culture'
It is deeply disheartening to witness the creeping "VIP vs. Non-VIP" culture within an institution where every single member holds the same prestigious title of Chartered Accountant. My experience at the recent WOfA event was a stark reminder of how far we have drifted from professional equality.
The disparity was glaring—plush sofas were reserved for the elite, while the chairs provided for ordinary members were barely fit for sitting. It is insulting to the dignity of our profession.
What is most ironic is that many of the CCMs and RCMs, who are now acting as untouchable hosts, were the same individuals desperately requesting members for WOfA bookings using their codes just a few days ago.
The discrimination didn't stop at the seating; it extended to the dining hall. For the first time in the history of our fraternity, separate lunch and dinner areas were designated for CCMs/RCMs and common members. Has our leadership become so "big" that even sharing a meal with a fellow professional is beneath them?
These representatives, who personally visit our offices and plead for votes during election time, seem to have forgotten that their authority comes from us. WOfA 2.0 has turned out to be "Dhoka 2.0." An institution’s grace is built on mutual respect and equality, not on the hollow vanity of sofas and separate dining halls. As professionals, we must stand against this blatant VIP culture. Such humiliation of members and guests is simply unacceptable. @ruwatiaofficial@caparveensharma@CaHiteshm@aarchanay@atulmodani@theicai@RajeshSharmaBJP
My two cents on "Corporate Mitras" concept being proposed in Budget 2026:
Corporate Mitras in Budget 2026 needs deeper thought.
Asking the country's 3 premium professional institutes to train para-professionals who will compete with their own members feels structurally flawed.
Members spend years on qualification, ethics and accountability and the same institutes are now expected to create a parallel, cheaper layer?
Compliance support is important, but diluting professional roles isn’t reform.
The real question: where is the institute’s duty to its members in this design?

Tough times for professionals it seems 🙏🏻
A father and son just mathematically proved that AI agents will never do what Silicon Valley is promising
Vishal Sikka is not some random academic. He was the CEO of Infosys, CTO of SAP, built SAP HANA, sits on the boards of Oracle, BMW, and GSK. Stanford PhD in AI. His son Varin is currently at Stanford
Together they published a paper that nobody in AI marketing departments wants you to read
Their argument: LLMs can only perform a certain number of computations per response. That number is fixed by the model's architecture. If a task requires more computation than that ceiling, the model will either fail or hallucinate. This isn't a maybe. It's baked into the math of how these systems work
They use the Traveling Salesman Problem as an example. Ask an AI agent to verify whether a claimed route is actually the shortest among all possible routes and the verification alone requires exponential time computation. The model physically cannot process it correctly
So every AI agent demo you've seen was running carefully selected tasks that stay under the complexity ceiling. Meanwhile the real world tasks businesses actually need automated blow right past it
Now this doesn't mean AI is useless. Even if advancement stopped today, AI would still transform how we work. The tools we have right now are genuinely powerful for the right applications
But it does make me wonder about something
If OpenAI is truly on the verge of AGI, why are so many senior employees leaving to start their own companies? You're months away from the biggest technological breakthrough in human history and you're going to take equity in a risky startup instead?
These people see the ceiling. And they're positioning accordingly
The gap between AI marketing and AI math keeps getting wider. Doesn't mean AI won't change everything. But probably not the way the fundraising decks promised.
