I scored 510 and my friend scored 388 in NEET.

I didnt get admission but my Friend who scored 388 got admission into MBBS.

I never wanted to leave Kerala. Studied here, loved it here. But when I started job hunting, the system crushed my hopes.
PSC vacancies are very few, and even those are mostly grabbed by people with political influence who get the questions leaked.
Aided colleges? Run by different religious groups — you have to belong to their community and pay ₹40 lakhs donation.
Co-operative banks? Need ruling party support + “donation”.
All these jobs where the salary is paid from our taxes, from government funds. Yet ordinary people have no chance.
Now I realise my kids will face the same fate unless we have a business. Most will be forced to leave Kerala or even the country.
This is not sustainable. Dharmendra Pradhan should resign. But more importantly — who is going to solve these deep-rooted problems in Kerala? We deserve better.

The tyranny of Tipu Sultan: Princess Aswathi Thirunal Gouri Lakshmi Bayi, a member of the Travancore Royal Family, recounts the atrocities committed by Tipu Sultan in Kerala, including the destruction of temples, forced conversions, and the displacement of communities from Malabar.

She recalls that Maharaja Karthika Thirunal Rama Varma provided refuge to those who fled Malabar, offering them shelter, land, and the means to rebuild their lives.

She raises a pertinent question: why should Tipu Sultan be regarded as a “national hero”?

The body is washed after death not for hygiene. Pouring water completes something. If even a little activity remains in the body, it will cease.

In certain communities in India that still remember these things, the first thing done after death is to strip the body naked. The next thing is to wash it with water.

Most people assume this is for hygiene. It is not only that.

Sadhguru explains it with something you can feel for yourself. Even when you are alive, if someone pours water on your face, you feel like you are being waterboarded, like you are drowning. Water poured over the body has a powerful effect on the life process within it.

If there is even a little activity still happening in the body after death, washing it with water will cause that activity to cease. Running water has the ability to clear many aspects off the body.

So the purpose of washing is not just to clean. It is to facilitate the complete withdrawal of life from the body.

After washing, the body is again laid in a north-south alignment in an open space, kept naked, with just a single white cloth covering it.

Why white? The colour white reflects almost all light and most heat. These two, light and heat, can hasten the decomposition of the cells. And hastening decomposition is not advisable at this stage, because certain aspects of prana are still partially functional in the body. A black or coloured cloth would absorb light and heat, and should be avoided.

And why is the cloth there at all? Not for the dead body's sake. The body has nothing to cover and nothing to expose. The cloth is purely for the living, who have issues with seeing it otherwise.

These days, people have begun dressing up the body elaborately. Undertakers in the West do more make-up for a dead body than is done for Hollywood stars.

But in this culture, you go back the way you came.

Naked, as you were born.

A final, silent reminder to everyone watching that none of those things ever mattered.

In Kerala, we have approved ₹1,663.15 crore for the 4-laning of a 54.37 km stretch of NH-183, from Kollam Bypass Junction to Anjilimoodu.

Kollam, known as India’s cashew capital and home to over 600 processing units, will significantly benefit from this infrastructure upgrade. The improved corridor will serve key industrial clusters including cashew, coir, ceramics, rare earth, and fisheries, collectively employing over 1.5 lakh workers. Enhanced connectivity to Kollam Port will reduce logistics costs, cut transit time, and facilitate seamless freight movement, thereby strengthening the regional economy.

The 4-lane corridor will also improve road safety and decongest existing stretches. As part of NH-183, the project will enhance interstate and regional connectivity, while improving access to key tourist destinations such as Periyar Tiger Reserve and Thekkady, giving a further boost to tourism and overall economic growth in the region.
