This is Dave and Mark Roebuck with the earliest known version of "TSTJL," recorded in 1989. I was only 8 years old at the time! Even now, I believe these lyrics are by far the most clever in the entire catalog—though that's just my opinion. The way the lyrics create such vivid imagery from start to finish is remarkable. My favorite line speaks to loyalty, a trait that's at the core of who I try to be, second only to forgiveness.
