POKÉMON LEAK THEORY
…I may have discovered what the Gen10 legendaries are based on👀

Wave Legendary: Nyi Roro Kidul (Queen of the Southern Sea)
Wind Legendary: Garuda (King of all birds, god of strength/power)

I started with the Gen10 game’s colors possibly being yellow and blue.

Blue can obviously be related to water and the sea- a very prominent sea deity in Indonesia is the Queen of the Southern Sea.

And Garuda is part of the national emblem of Indonesia,depicted as a yellow/golden eagle.

To back this up I looked up deities/mythology from SE Asia related to storms and the sea.
This is because the TL describes the 2 Box Legendaries of Gen10:

They are an older man and an older woman, one is called the storm legendary and one is the wave legendary.
Their island(s) is also either covered by storms or waves.

Once again the Queen of the Southern Sea is easily connected to the waves inspiration as she is a ruler of the Ocean. She is also a near identical to human(woman)-looking deity.
She is also a protector and guardian of the Javanese coast. She can take the souls of people…👻?
Lastly she is commonly depicted around certain creatures. Fish, Water Horses, and Sea Serpents/Dragons👀. Sometimes she herself is even depicted with the bottom half of a snake or fish(mermaid).

Garuda is a “good” humanoid deity. A man with the head and giant wings on an eagle. While he is not directly the god of storms or thunder, his wings are so big (as wide as a storm) that they cause hurricanes, thunder and chaotic winds.

Garuda is also a hero,symbol of courage and protector of his land in Javanese culture.
In different medias Garuda sometimes represents the element of wind itself and in other countries is even depicted as a kite.

Since the color green has also come up in recent days I will briefly say that wind(especially in Japanese culture)is highly associated with the color Green.

With Garuda being so heavily connected to wind, green would still work as a connection to Garuda too. He was even commonly depicted in emerald or green in older Balinese or Hindu art.

But also the Queen of the Southern Sea is sometimes said to wear green, as it’s sacred to her and those that wear green around her will feel her wrath… so, BIG connection there.

All of this to say, we may get an eagle like legendary and a more sea based legendary- based on these influential deities.
