Today, @NCHRD_UG held a regional service providers’ refinement workshop in Gulu City to strengthen #HRD protection efforts.
Key actions included:
🔹 Enhancing coordination, communication & trust among protection actors
🔹 Reviewing MOUs to clarify collaboration
🔹 Developing an HRD risk matrix
🔹 Refining referral pathways & accountability for rapid response.

This #MDR training is aimed at equipping #HRDs with tools and skills to track and record violations and abuses of human rights in their sub regions.

On Friday, 15th June 2025, young activists from Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania gathered in Kampala, Uganda, to launch a petition to the EAC Parliament demanding action against the harmful #EACOP project.

We have kicked off a week-long Human Rights Tribunal (court) sessions at our Moroto Regional Office. The sessions are redressing human rights complaints that arose within the Karamoja Region. They are being chaired by @ChairpersonUhrc and members of the Commission; @ckaheru @lo_apitta and Hon. Col. (Rtd) Steven Basaliza. A total of 21 complaints are being handled.
