कोलकाता के चोरबागान पूजा पंडाल में हुई भगदड़ की ख़बर बेहद दुखद है। इस हादसे में कई लोगों की जान जाने और बड़ी संख्या में लोगों के घायल होने की सूचना है।

मृतकों के परिजनों के प्रति मेरी गहरी संवेदनाएँ। घायलों के शीघ्र स्वस्थ होने की कामना करता हूँ।

प्रशासन से अपील है कि सभी घायलों को तुरंत बेहतर इलाज मिले, और इस हादसे की निष्पक्ष जाँच हो ताकि भविष्य में ऐसी त्रासदी न दोहराई जाए।

मैं कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं से अपील करता हूँ कि वे राहत कार्य में हर संभव मदद करें।

I’d like to thank every single person who came out today for this protest. I'd also like to thank the millions of people who showed support in their own way at 3pm. Thank you to the leaders of INDIA bloc, all the workers of the Congress party and workers of the INDIA bloc.

Today was a very important day because we needed to show the government that the people of India are not going to be intimidated. You cannot beat us, threaten us, frighten us. We will not accept being bullied.

I was wondering where the cowards of the RSS who were beating the young children day before yesterday were. Where were those people? Because I didn’t see them.

When we are standing there and when the people of India are standing there, why don’t you come out? Why don’t you wear your little scarves and come out and see what happens?

Because you’re essentially, like the Prime Minister of India, bullies. You cannot stand up. You can only use power to fight.

So, it’s very heartening to see what happened. I’m proud of everybody. Everybody worked like a team.

As I said in my press conference, there are no parallel protests. It’s one protest, and it’s a protest where everybody is standing together. Every single person is going to stand against these killers of our Constitution, these killers of our democracy. And we’re not going to back down.

I’d also like to thank everybody from civil society organisations who came, supported us. We value your support, and we love all of you.

Thank you all for coming out and defending the idea of India, the idea of the Constitution, the idea of our democracy.

I’m extremely proud of every single person who came out on the streets. Thank you.

आज के इस विरोध प्रदर्शन में शामिल होने वाले हर एक व्यक्ति का मैं दिल से धन्यवाद करना चाहता हूँ। उन करोड़ों लोगों का भी धन्यवाद, जिन्होंने दोपहर 3 बजे अपने-अपने तरीके से इस आंदोलन को समर्थन दिया। INDIA गठबंधन के नेताओं, कांग्रेस पार्टी के सभी कार्यकर्ताओं और INDIA गठबंधन के तमाम कार्यकर्ताओं का भी बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद।

आज का दिन बेहद महत्वपूर्ण था, क्योंकि हमें सरकार को यह दिखाना था कि भारत की जनता डरने वाली नहीं है। आप हमें मारिए, धमकाइए, डराने की कोशिश कीजिए, लेकिन हम डरने वाले नहीं हैं। हम आपकी गुंडागर्दी बर्दाश्त नहीं करेंगे।

मैं सोच रहा था कि RSS के वो कायर लोग कहाँ थे, जो परसों हमारे युवा साथियों को पीट रहे थे? कहाँ थे वो लोग? आज तो मुझे उनमें से कोई दिखाई नहीं दिया।

जब हम वहाँ खड़े हैं, जब देश की जनता वहाँ खड़ी है, तो तुम बाहर क्यों नहीं आते? अपनी छोटी-छोटी गमछियाँ पहनकर क्यों नहीं बाहर आते हो और देखते हो कि क्या होता है?

क्योंकि तुम भी देश के प्रधानमंत्री की तरह सिर्फ़ गुंडागर्दी करना जानते हो। तुममें सामने आकर खड़े होने की हिम्मत नहीं है। तुम सिर्फ़ सत्ता और ताक़त के दम पर लड़ सकते हो।

इसलिए आज जो कुछ हुआ, उसे देखकर बहुत खुशी होती है। मुझे आप सभी पर गर्व है। सबने एक टीम की तरह काम किया।

जैसा कि मैंने अपनी प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में कहा था, ये अलग-अलग प्रदर्शन नहीं हैं। यह एक ही आंदोलन है, जिसमें हम सब एक साथ खड़े हैं।

हममें से हर एक व्यक्ति संविधान के इन हत्यारों, हमारे लोकतंत्र को कुचलने वालों के ख़िलाफ़ खड़ा होगा। और हम एक कदम भी पीछे नहीं हटेंगे।

मैं उन सभी सिविल सोसाइटी संगठनों का भी दिल से धन्यवाद करना चाहता हूँ, जो आज हमारे साथ आए और जिन्होंने हमारा समर्थन किया। आपके समर्थन की हम कद्र करते हैं। हम आप सभी से मोहब्बत करते हैं।

भारत की सोच, हमारे संविधान के विचार और हमारे लोकतंत्र की रक्षा के लिए आज सड़कों पर उतरने वाले हर व्यक्ति का धन्यवाद।

मुझे उन सभी लोगों पर बेहद गर्व है, जो आज सड़कों पर उतरे।

Yesterday, the nation's young came out in Delhi to peacefully protest. They came with love in their hearts, not hatred or anger. They were beaten, both by cops and BJP goons.

This is not the India we want.

Tomorrow, we will march to the Supreme Court as Indians, united beyond party, gender, caste, community and state.

Youth, all opposition parties, civil society groups, all those who believe in democracy and stand by the Constitution of India, will walk with us.

We will submit a memorandum to the Chief Justice on behalf of the nation, demanding an end to vote chori, halting of SIR and the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar.

Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Ajit Doval and Mohan Bhagwat cannot silence India's voice. These cowards cannot intimidate us. They will have to step aside.

We will march together, with love, brotherhood and patriotism.

Daro mat.

Tomorrow, all of India will march to the Supreme Court.

कल दिल्ली में देश का युवा शांतिपूर्ण विरोध के लिए सड़कों पर उतरा। उनके दिलों में नफ़रत या गुस्सा नहीं, मोहब्बत थी। लेकिन उन्हें पुलिस और BJP के गुंडों, दोनों ने पीटा।

ऐसा भारत हम नहीं चाहते।

कल, सोमवार 12 अक्टूबर को, हम भारतीय होने के नाते सुप्रीम कोर्ट तक मार्च करेंगे। पार्टी, महिला-पुरुष, जाति, समुदाय और राज्य की हर दीवार से ऊपर उठकर, हम सब एक साथ चलेंगे।

देश का युवा, तमाम विपक्षी दल, सिविल सोसाइटी और लोकतंत्र में विश्वास रखने वाले, भारत के संविधान के साथ खड़े सभी लोग हमारे साथ चलेंगे।

हम देश की ओर से मुख्य न्यायाधीश को एक ज्ञापन सौंपेंगे। हमारी माँग है - वोट चोरी बंद हो, SIR पर रोक लगे और ज्ञानेश कुमार इस्तीफ़ा दें।

नरेंद्र मोदी, अमित शाह, अजित डोभाल और मोहन भागवत भारत की आवाज़ को दबा नहीं सकते। ये कायर हमें डरा नहीं सकते। इन्हें पीछे हटना ही होगा।
हम सब साथ चलेंगे - मोहब्बत, भाईचारे और देशभक्ति के साथ।

कल पूरा भारत सुप्रीम कोर्ट तक मार्च करेगा।

अमित शाह की दिल्ली पुलिस खुद तो गुंडागर्दी पर उतर ही आई - RSS-BJP के असली गुंडों को भी महिलाओं और युवाओं पर हिंसा करने की खुली छूट और बढ़ावा दे रही है।

जैसा मैंने कहा था, Mogambo Modi और उसकी सरकार जितना दबाएगी, Gen Z और छात्रों का गुस्सा उतना ही बढ़ेगा।

सोमवार, 12 अक्टूबर को कांग्रेस, पूरा INDIA गठबंधन और देश के युवा बड़ी संख्या में एक बार फिर सड़कों पर उतरेंगे। और इस बार भी आवाज़ पूरे देश में गूंजेगी - पहले से कहीं ज़्यादा।

@AmitShah, जितनी पुलिस लानी है, 10 हज़ार, 20 हज़ार, 40 हज़ार, ले आइए। BJP-RSS के जितने गुंडे बुलाने हैं, बुला लीजिए।

हम डरने वाले नहीं हैं। पीछे हटने वाले नहीं हैं। ये लड़ाई अब रुकने वाली नहीं है!

सोमवार को हम मुख्य न्यायाधीश से भी मिलेंगे और मांग करेंगे कि जब दिल्ली की सड़कों पर संविधान को तार-तार किया जा रहा है और लोकतंत्र को कुचला जा रहा है, तब कानून के संरक्षक आंखों पर पट्टी डाल कर नहीं बैठ सकते।

संविधान की धज्जियां उड़ेंगी और हम चुप बैठेंगे? ऐसा हरगिज़ नहीं होगा। जवाबदेही तय करवाकर रहेंगे!

The core characteristic of these people is cowardice.

Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Mohan Bhagwat, Gyanesh Kumar and Ajit Doval, the villains of this story, are slowly finding the space closing around them. We are closing that space.

Mr. Modi, do whatever you want. Call out all the police: 10,000, 20,000, 50,000, whatever you want.

Arrest all the leaders. Arrest all the young people. Arrest us all.

We are surrounding you, and we are not going to back down. Mark my words: we already have the information we need.

We are going to defend our Constitution. We are going to protect the voice of the Indian people. And we are going to ensure that what was done to India over the last 10-15 years will never, ever be done again.

I just sat in quite an unbelievable meeting with the President of India.

We presented our memorandum to her outlining PM Modi and HM Amit Shah’s gross subversion of India’s electoral system and seeking CEC Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation. I was shocked that the President did not deny Vote Chori.

Instead, she asked us to bring her proof. We will bring her a mountain of it. The INDIA bloc will gladly submit every piece of evidence before her.

We welcome her assurance that she will examine the matter and take action.
