Today two teams represented Kirkwood High School at the @STLPLTW engineering competition at @STLCCFloValley . 19 teams competed in the "Shake it Up" challenge creating a structure to sustain earthquake type movement. One @khspioneers teams won first place for presentation!
The KHS Robotics team competed at Troy Buchanan High School's Vex Robotics Competition last weekend and placed 2nd overall in skills, qualifying them for the state championship in March. The team is now ranked 9th in the state!
As a prototype for a materials sorter at a recycling plant, #POE students designed a fully automated machine to sort 3 different types of marbles in under 2 minutes. Here is one of the groups that nailed it!

KHS had a great showing by our two teams at the STL PLTW competition today. One of our teams earned 1st place in teamwork, 1st place in documentation/presentation, and 3rd place overall! @PLTWorg @STLPLTW
