On this day, in 1950, Our beloved nation adopted its Constitution, to become a sovereign, socialist, secular, and democratic republic. Alongside enshrining democratic value such as justice, liberty, equality, this day instills a sense of civics responsibility and patriotism. After all it signifies the concept of "government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

In consonance with above concept, Republic Day also reflects the importance of public sector banks in nation's progress viz promoting entrepreneurship and small business, percolating financial inclusion/awareness accross community, providing overall financial stability to nation etc.

On such a sacrosanct day, let us take oath to protect the fundamental rights and strengthen the democracy by preserving an invaluable asset of the nation - Public Sector.
