AIL Mohali raised intake to 180 without expanding infrastructure. 130+ students evicted from hostels via an opaque process. Campus now ovcrowded—classrooms, mess, and housing under strain. No stakeholder consultation.

What a remarkable general election have we just seen. State by state competition and a verdict where the winner seems underwhelmed and the opposition is celebrating (or as a friend puts it: where victory feels like defeat and defeat feels like a victory)! A Modi-led BJP will almost certainly complete a historic hat trick in power but the bigger message is this : India prefers a strong opposition to a single party, single leader dominance. And yes, leaders/pollsters and even the media should never take the humble anonymous voter for granted . Humility over arrogance at all times, empathy over divisiveness be it in tv studios, in parliament or in Galli/nukkads of this great diverse country. 👍🙏🇮🇳

Some battles are fought to be lost
For history must record the uncomfortable facts for generations to know
The right and wrong of institutional actions will be debated for years to come
History alone is the final arbiter

Not even 10% Indians own a car and still the traffic is pure hell.
Imagine if majority of Indians owned a car, there’s simply no space to build 5x wider roads. Public transport, cycling, e-cycling, walkable neighborhoods need to be heavily prioritized over cars.
Assembly results 2022 are an unpleasant surprise for many of us who see the damage that BJP govts have done to Institutions, democracy& civility. Money power& propaganda have triumphed over issues of Employment, development, health etc.
Need to work harder to Reclaim our Republic
First takeaways from trends. The first is, AAP has risen as the “change” party of India. It is a fundamental new shift in national politics. Watch for their vote share in Gujarat later this year. A new planet has risen.
