@MoneoDallas@kiradirtson@SaskPulse @David_Marit @CPottsSKPulse Has come back to us as Fusarium Wilt enough times I am maybe in the trap of just calling it that. See it more when 30 degree May and June days and this year fits.
@EgerCraig@MoneoDallas@mikeritz87 Twitter would have done you wrong listening to that Rec into a 40+c lentil year. 3 weeks since last rain at that rate would have been yield moving damage. Pretty easy to say fire away on someone else’s crop. 100g is fine on a no leaching but you’d have seen damage on this rain.
@tj85854427 Classic yes ... if it was actually a 5 year old son. More likely ... if it was a 45 year old son it’s just a couple of conservative wankers who don’t drink good whisky.
@CattleNut Depends on your area I guess. It’s money losing to swath Canola in most years. And has been so in our area prior to shatter resistant varieties. Now it’s a no-brainer.
@Plantmore1 People should keep in mind this was a year where the maturity difference should have favoured 233. Just like 5020 won the July fry years back in the 5030-70 days. Especially if guys seed into windows that allow the July effect.
Feeling pretty good about these Chickpeas making some bushels. They went backwards after the 1 product app we knew better than using this year (though was dry enough at application) but following product choices and weather worked its magic as they did last year. #expertisepays
@mikefoleyfarms1@JennettMAS I don’t see it that way. The timeliness and combination of stress then relief a couple times. It’s better than average. Heat at the end stole some bushels but helped the chickpea straighten out.
@Plantmore1@MoneoDallas Similar to last year but we are mostly ahead of it. Number of things going on but it is Aschocyta at its root and IMHO the key is that there are some obvious products guys should no longer be using and a couple that should be the new core of the fungicide rotation.
“First Rain Fireworks!” tonight. Mid-June last year as well. Don’t like the pattern but better than the previous two years where we didn’t get to set them off.
