@tmfotter I'm not surprised. I blame the Australian news cycle and social media news feeds, 4 main channels where every day without fail in Oz they will have a horrible US story, be it shootings, racial tension, political craziness. It's fed into the average Australians brain that it's a crazy place which is ironic because they then proceed to air 5 horrible stories about events in Australia then end with a story about a cat saved up in a tree to make you feel better. I hate main stream news it's the worst.
