@tomodacher @Baruc731 I think Pokemon's simplicity is a strength. My nephews love Scarlet and Violet the same way I loved Red and Blue. People don't appreciate how accessible the games are to kids. Older players can enjoy competitive, challenge runs, and rom hacks if they want more of a challenge.
