A 1-year-old in Mississippi was shot and killed by police after a cop opened fire on a vehicle involved in an alleged shoplifting incident at a Walmart. An adult was also critically wounded.
A witness says they saw 2 women leaving the store with an infant, Kohen Kartier Wiley, and a box of diapers. Relatives deny that Wiley's mother and aunt were shoplifting, with some saying they had a digital receipt on a phone.
This is a national tragedy.
The officers knew about Kohen Kartier Wiley being in the car before they opened fire.
Firing into a moving vehicle in a crowded parking lot over a non-violent offense is both criminally reckless and completely unjustified.
RIP Kohen Kartier Wiley
“If a white man wants to lynch me, that's his problem. If he's got the power to lynch me, that's my problem. Racism is not a question of attitude; it's a question of power. Racism gets its power from capitalism. Thus, if you're anti-racist, whether you know it or not, you must be anti-capitalist. The power for racism, the power for sexism, comes from capitalism, not an attitude.” -Kwame Ture
Malcolm X visited Gaza for two days in September 1964. He was hosted by the Palestinian poet Harun Hamid Rashid. They visited Palestinian refugees in Khan Yunus, as he had a strong desire to learn about the Palestinian cause. Here he is with members of the PLO.
In a diary entry from that trip he reflected:
"Europeanism has been such a strong poison it now becomes essential to emphasize Africanism to counteract it and Arabism to counteract Zionism; socialism to counteract capitalism."
Yup. He’s up to 11 pounds. They have to transfer him to another hospital for because the current hospital he’s at cannot meet his complex needs. The family is 100% responsible for the cost even tho the state forced them to keep that poor woman “alive” as a human incubator.
No news outlet is covering this, you know why? Because the fucking experiment on a black woman’s body has FAILED miserably. The only updates are from grandma’s go fund me. They let that woman die for a clump of cells (she was only 9 weeks pregnant at the time) that’s not even doing ok 6 months later. 6 months is a long time to be in nicu!
Adriana Smith is her name. I am so sorry the state did this to you. You were a 30 year old nurse with a kid who was already here who needed you. The state failed you, the very hospital that you worked at who was so supposed to help you failed you…everybody failed you.
The Party for Socialism and Liberation organized a free breakfast for children at the Atlanta Liberation Center yesterday.
Over 600,000 children in Georgia are facing hunger right now as the government shutdown cut off SNAP and WIC benefits for tens of millions of working families. This is a criminal and inhumane policy choice of both the Republican and Democratic Parties that serve the same billionaires.
The system we live under — capitalism — causes mass suffering, poverty and hunger. The billionaires in power are to blame. We need a new system — socialism — where billionaires don't exist and workers have the power to run society to meet the needs of the people and the planet! Fight for socialism so no child goes hungry!
Money for people's needs, not racist deportations and endless wars!

Zohran Mamdani’s win in New York City makes it clear — more and more people want a socialist alternative to the political establishment.
Across the country, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, working with others like @peaceandfreedom, are running socialist candidates who are challenging the two-party system. In the midterm election, let’s send the billionaire class a clear message: the people demand a new system!
🚨PSL STATEMENT – Democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani’s mayoral victory in NYC represents a major political breakthrough – and is an indicator that people want to fight.
Now, we must channel that energy into a permanently mobilized mass movement.

This was Saleh, the dreamer, the one most of us never had the honor of seeing.
He had dreams like everyone else in Gaza. He was a ranked player in table tennis. He loved to sing and made songs before and during the genocide. He memorized all 600 pages of the Quran and loved Islam and he loved God. He was a Youtuber who started his journey on Youtube back in 2020 where he vlogged his life, added his songs, and showed the beauty of Gaza.
Saleh Aljafarawi, for 27 years of his life, lived under a brutal occupation whose only mission was to kill more Palestinians and steal more Palestinian land.
For two years, he starved with his people as he reported on limbless and bloody dead children, night and day. He ran towards airstrikes. He ran towards blood.
Saleh’s name in Arabic means “virtuous” and “righteous.” What a virtuous and righteous man this world has lost. He woke up millions of people to the ugliness of the ethnic cleansing of Palestine, and the greed and evil that runs our world.
He died telling the truth. Western journalists live to tell lies.
Palestine is bigger than just Palestine. Palestine is for every person who believes in freedom.
Saleh’s death will not be in vain. Glory be to the martyrs. Free Palestine. Free us all.
