Today, we mark the 81st anniversary of D-Day, and encourage all Canadians to take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who fought in the Battle of Normandy.

90% of the soldiers on the first boats to hit the beach didn't live to see the end of the day. Look at those faces. Some of them never made it to 18.
They paid the ultimate price for your freedom. You live your life the way you do because of them.

Legion memberships aren’t just for those who served, it’s for any Canadian 18 years of age or older who wants to show their support for Veterans!
You can join us online, by phone, or at your local Legion branch .https://t.co/tdd3rMY72O
Remember, elderly veterans, like in these photos of Dad, were once young men, full of strength, dreams, & bravery. Honour them not just for who they are today, but for the sacrifices they made in their youth. #CanadaRemembers#HonoringOurHeroes
@CraigBaird I Ioved the forest Rangers. Wanted so bad to be like
those kids with their own fort or to be able to climb
up the fire watch tower. What a great show it was!
There's still time to sign up for this evening's virtual session - a great chance to have your voice included in this important topic as we look to update our transit plan with Charlottetown and Cornwall.

It's that time of the year when we honour the brave who serve and defend our country.
This year, we've added 3 new life-size banners. We welcome residents to drop in at the Stratford Town Centre until Nov. 20 to view the 45 fallen heroes and reflect on their sacrifice.
Keep our Island clean. Littering not only ruins the beauty of our surroundings but also harms our environment. Let's work together to keep it clean. #keepitclean#pei#iwmc@PEIPublicSafety
