For those who knew her, my aunt Carol died peacefully today in Dingle. RIP. ❤️

Is an Irish Water Spaniel the goofiest dog? This new addition to our household is four months old. The breed itself is ancient - they were here when the Normans arrived and probably much earlier. That's a lot of years of goofiness. #puppy #irishwaterspaniel #irishdogs

What a great last poem. I met him last year at a reading - a gentleman and craftsman who made everyone laugh. RIP.

We were very sorry to hear of the death of poet, activist and friend, Kevin Higgins this week. Kevin was a uniquely talented artist and a generous mentor to a generation of writers in Galway. We'll miss him, and must share his parting poem (Portrait © Chris Banahan)

To all book lovers: I’m looking for representations of Type 2 diabetes or pre diabetes in contemporary English language literature (like Shriver’s Big Brother or Chocolat by Harris). Any suggestions? #books #T2D
