A5: I always offer choices for assignments using a variety of technology platforms. They can demonstrate proficiency in more ways than one. Videos, slides, canva, docs are all ways to reach a diverse set of learners. #rEDTECHguy

A12: Each year, my department goes to the county and state conference. Here, we not only learn of changes to standards, but we immerse ourselves in new ideas within these guidelines. In health, staying up to date with information is important. Have to put the time in #rEDTECHguy

A11: I encourage the students to create their own scenarios relating to the topic in First Aid/CPR. Many students have stories to share or have life experiences they have witnessed that pertain to the unit that we openly discuss and practice with #rEDTECHguy

A10: Real world scenarios are incorporated everyday in First Aid/CPR. For every new skill they are working through role play with each other or manikins depicting possible major medical emergency events and how to best care for the injured person. #rEDTECHguy

A9: In both PE and First Aid, students work together every day. When you are participating in an activity or practicing life saving skills, you use each other in the class to succeed.

A8: The more reflective the better. Just a quick scan around the room during a lesson can give a lot of non-verbal feedback. Are they engaged, dazed, chatty, sleepy? Exit tickets can also be utilized for this purpose as well! #rEDTECHguy

A7: This all starts with the students feeling safe, comfortable, and heard in the classroom. Connect with EACH student. Sometimes they leave here remembering the influence you had over the content. But if you can be that person for them, they will learn for you. #rEDTECHguy

A6: While technology isn’t regularly used in PE, we often utilize this platform to reach students who are not medically able to participate. Multimedia videos, podcasts, live stream, fitness uploads are some examples of how we can tap into that area. #rEDTECHguy
