@hotdogwater69_@dyingscribe I never said he was found not guilty? How do you think the death sentence was not sustained when initially sought by the prosecution, if not by the defense?
@cultn1991@dyingscribe Those people kill themselves rather often already. There's no roadblocks to remove really, unlike with a terminally ill patient that is illegal to help.
@cultn1991@dyingscribe The propaganda wont matter, if it is medically necessary. Healthy people can just kill themselves anyway. People stuck dying slowly in a hospice or hospital cant. Those people should be *allowed* to.
@cultn1991@dyingscribe The state doesn't decide, it just shouldnt be allowed to stop it like it does now. If terminally ill and in agonizing pain, there is no sound argument why the state should prevent it. The argument for MAID is not state-sponsored suicide, but removing the legal obstruction.
@cultn1991@dyingscribe Yes, I believe the celebrating is justified. As we've established, her doing her job is necessary, and in order to not be miserable and hate her job, thereby ensuring a worse performance, she should be allowed to feel accomplishment with her work.
@cultn1991@dyingscribe Confessions can be coerced and evidence can be forged or tampered with. If those criteria are enough to ignore the need to ensure a fair trial by providing a good defense, no one can be sure of getting that.
@cultn1991@dyingscribe I believe that if it is voluntary and deemed medically necessary, then it can be ethical and allowed. It is very hard to misuse MAID against political dissidents or specific people you want to get rid of/frame
@cultn1991@dyingscribe They dont live at the behest of tax-payers, its consistently more expensive to execute a death penalty. Additionally I myself would, thats why we have a justice system to remove bias. The state should never have the permission to kill their citizens, for whatever reason.
@Vra3I Ah! You're so right, thats my bad. When you asked for mental stability I thought you meant the textual stability of a DSM-5 diagnosis. Its not a sickness - its a superpower.
@hotdogwater69_@dyingscribe It is her job to argue against the prosecutors accusations, if she can poke enough holes in it to go avoid the death penalty, then she did her job well.
@goytarded@dyingscribe The prosecutor should've just done a better job. Youre genuinely retarded if you think the state should have no pushback on their charges
