OPINION: For the first time in my life, I felt genuinely embarrassed watching the evening news with my children—my daughter Wangechi, 21, and my son, Lord Byron, 13. And for the first time, I found myself angry with my President, not as a political observer, but as a parent.
Listening to the President, especially the part where he ranted on and on about how an unnamed political opponent had impregnated a girl “his daughter’s age” and killed the baby, was jarring. It was not just political; it was deeply personal, crude, and wholly inappropriate for a national platform.
As a parent seated next to a girl the same age as the one invoked in that statement, I felt a line had been crossed. This was no longer about politics; it was about dignity, values, and the example set before impressionable minds.

It's Friday and my parents are coming over to hang out. They'll play with my son. We'll have dinner. I'll sauna with my dad. I wish someone had told me sooner: Nothing improves quality of life more than proximity to people you love. It’s worth more than any job will ever pay you.
Fiber optics powers the internet we use every single day, yet skilled technicians are still in short supply. If you’re in ICT or looking to upskill into a future-proof field, this is a skill worth learning. Fiber Optics Technician training coming up this March.

At the heart of the Kenyatta Trust #Tuungane Program is the belief that youthful energy and ambition must be nurtured with purpose. Through mentorship, passion is guided, strengthened, and transformed into resilience that carries our young scholars from vision to completion.

#Tuungane Mentorship Program is one of the key initiatives at the Kenyatta Trust nurturing authentic mentor–mentee relationships. Coach Vicky Mukiri and mentee Grace Gatugi reflect on a journey built on trust, vulnerability, and shared learning where mentorship isn’t about instructions, but about leaning on each other, finding your voice, and growing together.

From Learners to Leaders 🎓
Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged Kenyatta Trust graduates to step into the world as ethical leaders guided by integrity, justice, and peace.
“This is the charge I lay before you tonight: Go out into the world with humility and lead. Lead with integrity. Lead with a commitment to justice, lead always with peace in your hearts,” he said during the 2024/2025 Kenyatta Trust Graduation Dinner in Nairobi, where he was joined by former First Lady Margaret Kenyatta.
The event celebrated 41 graduates who have completed their studies through the Trust’s scholarship program — a vision born to nurture unity, service, and national identity beyond tribe or region.
At Kenyatta Trust, transformation goes beyond education, it shapes minds, hearts, families, and communities through mentorship, empowerment, and leadership.

@naivas_kenya false marketing is a no no! Sending marketing message selling Brookside milk @49 bob but in the supermarket it’s 55 bob. Very very bad manners at Kingara branch. Shame on you!!
@NCBABankKenya have been waiting for teller services for the last 30 mins (and counting). Only because there’s only 1 teller serving at your upper hill branch. This is very very unacceptable!!!
