@Umacuriosidades It was Still (and by extension Crimson) who did that. She thought Trainer would never be happy if she didn’t continue to run so she let Crimson take control. Because she is a yandere at the end of the day: a girl who becomes obsessive due to how much love she has for someone.
@Umacuriosidades Trainer losing sleep, hating sunlight… All that doesn’t matter to either of them if they can keep making their obsession happy.
But driving your loved one to be a shell of themselves to serve your desires is the very definition of narcissism. A lot of people blame Trainer but—
lowkey i think this might be a result of yanderes in the public eye being known simply as "murderously jealous" rather than for the dehumanizing idolization/possessiveness of another person that is at the core of the trope. sucks regardless
@Seapinkbunnycat@foIkqueen I agree, it’s a disservice to both her character and career story if we only label her as a baby girl sweetheart or just a yandere.
She can be both. That’s actually why she loves her Trainer so much: They accepted both sides of her fully. Both are ultimately a part of her.
@asterstruck I don’t get why there’s a whole debate in the first place, I am just like, “Wow! Two cakes!” when I see both Aruvu ship tease and the fact Still’s Trainer canonically exists in other Uma careers (unlike most Trainers)
Both ships just have a good story to them.
@B____LT Still’s career is a tragic love story that poses the question of whether it is healthy to not care about anything else in the world as long you make your beloved happy at all costs, even at the price of your own health.
