KIIT has entered into a Pathway Programme Agreement with Newcastle University, United Kingdom, a historic university with origins dating back to 1834, a founding member of the Russell Group, and ranked 137th in the QS World University Rankings 2026.

The agreement was exchanged between Professor Chris Day CBE DL, Vice-Chancellor and President, Newcastle University, and Mr. Dwiti Aditya, Vice President – International Relations, KIIT, in the presence of Sanjana Medipally, Acting Head of International Relations and Partnerships; Professor Stephanie Glendenning, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Faculty of Science and Engineering; and Professor Ian Head from Newcastle University.

This collaboration will open new academic pathways for KIIT students and further strengthen KIIT��s global engagement in higher education, research and student mobility.

KIIT looks forward to building this meaningful partnership with Newcastle University for the benefit of its students and the larger academic community.

We at KIIT proudly hosted Odisha’s first-ever National French Pedagogical Summit (Sommet Pédagogique National du Français 2026), bringing together 40+ French language educators from across India for three days of academic exchange, innovative pedagogy, and cultural immersion.

The summit commenced with participant registration, campus visits, and the inaugural conference titled “Heritage and Continuity: Rethinking Francophonie in India,” delivered by Dr Preeti Bhutani, President, Prayatna Educational Society.

Organised by our Department of Language & Literature, School of Liberal Studies, in collaboration with Prayatna Educational Society and Unisec Publication, the summit highlighted KIIT’s commitment to global learning, multilingual education, and international academic collaboration.

From insightful workshops and interactive sessions to cultural visits across Odisha, the summit created a vibrant platform for strengthening the future of French language education in India.
