@MarxistHeathen @BKLYNcook to be fair here, there have been multiple black-led ethnostates; it is certainly counterproductive to imagine that one race is intrinsically or unchangeably violent in a way untrue of other peoples. the logic of needing single-race nations has caused unquantifiable violence
@ParisPhl@thinkpiecetribe the argument is pretty clear even if you replace the word “academics” with “people.” anyone who educates has a burden to do it well, whether they conduct research or not; “academic” was clearly used to describe someone familiar with academic standards. why the semantic narrowing?
'What was thinkable in 1919 became unthinkable by 1999. The working class has not made this demand because it has been defeated in its capacity to imagine.'
The CIA basically stunlocked Occupy Wall Street by getting wealthy diasporoids who grew up with slave-servants to write this article one thousand times on every website
What could go wrong? Why not take a walk with your best friend in the woods, boy? We’re the freest country in the world. Take a sip from the stream, hear the mournful call of the last bird. There’s no better place to die young than here
@thereisnobeth i certainly agree, although i often think there is a fine line between learning from and mystical-style praising: i see a lot of people that think indigenous peoples could do no harm to their environments, and i am glad your take is more nuanced!
@thereisnobeth this video has a fantastic bibliography for north america specifically, if you want to learn about it instead of work upon the same mystical-survival framework you say you disagree with

@thereisnobeth indigenous americans not only were some of the first in the world to develop advanced agriculture, they also created and maintained some of the most inconceivable crops; the only reason we have so few (corn, potato, sunflower, etc.) is because the others were lost in colonization
I have some issues with her, but Catherine Liu was 1000% on the money when she talked about the trauma industry and how liberals feel they can't fix anything so they exercise radical self-improvement to compensate.
