If I understood correctly, #academics pay 1000 euros for #publishing their research. #journals make extra money by selling their research and instead of giving them back some money, they give some credit points. If you get enough, you can keep your job. WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD!

My #paper was just #rejected without even going under review. #Editor said: it was a good experimental design, however you could have done hormones, you could have analysed gas-exchanges every day... Yeah I could have done all these things if I wasn't doing a stressful #PhD!
