Relationship between incident cardiovascular disease and quality of life after a breast cancer diagnosis
A study of 2,912 #BreastCancer survivors found that cardiovascular disease (CVD) developing after breast cancer was strongly associated with poorer physical quality of life (QoL).
➡️ After adjustment, survivors who developed CVD had nearly twice the risk of poor physical QoL, while no significant association was found with mental QoL.
✅ The findings highlight the importance of integrating cardiovascular prevention, monitoring and rehabilitation into long-term breast cancer survivorship care.
