🚨 Luis Díaz on his hat-trick against Leipzig and reveals why he left Liverpool:
🎙️ Interviewer: “Luis, three goals tonight. Liverpool fans are watching this and asking the same question: why did you leave? You loved that club. Was Bayern really what you wanted?
Luis Díaz: “Honestly? No. I never dreamed of leaving Liverpool like that. I loved that club, I loved the fans, and every time I wore that shirt, I gave everything. Anfield gave me some of the happiest moments of my career”
“Bayern came calling, Barcelona were also interested, and of course, these are massive clubs. But people need to understand something: I wasn’t desperate to leave Liverpool. I wanted to keep fighting there.”
Interviewer: “So what changed? Was it Arne Slot?
Luis Díaz: “The football changed. The way we attacked, the positions we were asked to take, the patterns we had to follow… it became different from the football I felt most comfortable playing. I like freedom, intensity, taking on defenders, attacking space and creating chaos. That’s when I’m at my best”
“Under Slot, I felt the team was moving towards a different pattern, and I wasn’t always being used in the way I believed suited me. I respect him as a coach, but sometimes a manager’s idea of how a team should play doesn’t match a player’s strongest qualities”
“And when you start feeling that difference, you have to ask yourself difficult questions. I didn’t stop loving Liverpool. I just wasn’t sure the football was giving me the best chance to be myself anymore.”
Interviewer: “So when people say you left for money or because Bayern offered you a new challenge, that’s not the whole story?
Luis Díaz: “Not at all. It’s easy to look at the transfer and say, ‘He wanted to leave.’ But how many people know how I felt? I didn’t wake up one morning and suddenly stop loving Liverpool”
“Look at tonight. Three goals. I’m happy, of course, but there’s also a part of me that wonders what might have happened if things had worked out differently at Liverpool”
“I’ll always respect that club. But I also have to play football in a way that brings the best out of me. I didn’t leave because Liverpool meant nothing to me. I left because I needed to feel like myself again”
@ryswanto 😭😭 baru aja ngomong “uda bs nerima semua pemain pergi, tp klo klopp pergi bakal jd mimpi buruk buat gw sbg fans LFC” 5hr kemudian klopp ngumumin 💔💔💔💔💔 saddest day indeed!
VAR literally has one job (at a time) to do. How is it possible that mistakes as clear cut and important as this continue to be made? Undermining the PL. Awful
I’m proud of this team, they didn’t deserve this ending. They defended well with 9 men relentlessly and Joel Matip was solid, hope he keep his head high. We had to fight against literal corruption, both red cards and Luis Diaz offside goal were disgraceful decisions.
Jackie Chan and his daughter crying while watching some of his old movie scenes is the most wholesome thing you’ll watch today.
Thanks for our childhood legend ❤️
Klopp minta dia jadi false nine, dia bilang iya.
Salah minta nomor punggung 11, dia bilang iya.
Minamino ulang tahun, dia oper depan gawang untuk cetak gol.
Nunez butuh gol, dia kirimkan assist.
Sekarang Klopp minta dia jadi second striker, dia lagi-lagi iya.
Bobby Firmino ❤️🥹
