There is a strong anti-imperialist storm sweeping across Africa. The African masses are again standing up, as they did in the 1950s and 1960s, against their enslavement.

From Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger, our people are kicking out puppet governments that perpetuate foreign economic exploitation.

There is a growing emancipatory conciousness. For a change, we now see economic policies being implemented that serve the African masses - as against colonial interests.

Of course, the imperialist puppet governments all-over Africa are totally against this development. There is panic and dismay amongst them. They are aware that their days are numbered and are trying hard to reverse the process. A revolutionary transformation of the continent is the last thing they want to see. Their very survival depends on being the "kitchen slaves" that get accolades and protection from metropole centres of imperialism. They are, therefore, trying hard to derail the countries that are on the path of economic liberation. The leaders of ECOWAS are such a shameful example. Here in Zambia, President HH does not mince his words in trying to undermine the change that is taking place in the Sahel region.

However, when and where the masses of our people are prepared to emancipate themselves, they become unstoppable. One country after another, our people will ultimately free themselves from the imperialist economic stranglehold. In Zambia, 2026 has potential to offer such an opportunity.

For now, it is our duty to give solidarity to the African brothers and sisters that have already embarked on the path of economic freedom.

The economic liberation of Africa has begun, it's irreversible and it will triumph.
