@ashu_tosh_m @sidefxlabs I'm sorry. The hip file is not in a very usable state anymore. Not that it was very clean to begin with, since they were all made in less than one day. :) But the northern lights are basically just a colored volume with a falloff based on its relbbox and some additional noise.
The new @sidefx#Houdini 19.5 dashbox feature looks quite useful. Coincidentally I was also working on something similar for some time now with Python and Qt. At least my tool still has some functions which the dashbox doesn't have (yet) π
@ambrosiussen_p@sidefx@sidefxlabs Wow very nice thanks for sharing. Just recently I was wondering if there was a way to have a try except node. I think I never checked the docs for this sop :D

My solution. It's probably not the fastest because I cannot compile it (my compiled workaround is even slower) :)
But nice challenge. In production I already saw this problem appear a couple of times
@ambrosiussen_p It would interest me how to create (interactive) viewport elements e.g. "handle gadgets" or how the labs ruler shelf tool displays its measurements
Hi,
I just recently made the move to go Freelance! I'd be available from November on and would be keen to work on some exciting projects! #motiondesigner#houdini#redshift#freelance

I made a new tool for @sidefx#Houdini.
It allows the easy creation and placement of lattice deformers.
Made using #Python viewer states and free to download on my github.

@ambrosiussen_p@sidefx@googlemaps@sidefxlabs That looks awesome. I did something similar with viewerstates because I didn't know of a cross-platform way to sample pixel colors. But yours looks way more performant. https://t.co/904QjWtT5H
IβM TRYING TO GO TO SPACE & you can help me get there!
If you retweet this video, Iβll print your name on a shirt and wear it in space in your honor βοΈ
