@foxxyscleo@kacchaket@bauble_k@herexcellenceee@skirtoverpants1 Girl yes, if you hate your blackness wouldn’t you want to make a permanent change rather than a temporary one like skin bleaching? And no they are just hella insecure and needs to fix it
@bauble_k Girl ur just responding and I am responding back, I don’t want anything from the conversation like just log off and smoke a blunt and chill or sum idk.
@bauble_k@herexcellenceee@kacchaket@skirtoverpants1@foxxyscleo Like their hair is just literally not done… they recently took out braids or took off a wig. It’s very crazy to assume that the posters never have their natural hair done and for you to claim they hate it/antiblack is insane just from this video alone.
@bauble_k@herexcellenceee@kacchaket@skirtoverpants1@foxxyscleo Okay we can talk about our community but are the going to keep the conversation at what the op posted? Yes there are blacks that hate their blackness and no one said that it doesn’t exist, that is just not what I collected from the video.
@foxxyscleo@kacchaket@bauble_k@herexcellenceee@skirtoverpants1 So if another races hates their hair does it mean they hate their race? No.. it’s just an insecurity. There can be insecurity’s are are rooted in antiblackness but that was not what I collected from the OP post. I just hate how you think blk ppl aren’t allowed to be insecure
@foxxyscleo@kacchaket@bauble_k@herexcellenceee@skirtoverpants1 Relaxers and perms I agree with on hating your blackness. Wigs aren’t permanent nor alter your natural hair texture in anyway. I’m talking about the video that was at hand not whatever you feel like bringing up.
@kacchaket@bauble_k@herexcellenceee@skirtoverpants1@foxxyscleo look at the OP post… claiming the people who are making self depericating humor aka insecurity jokes about taking out their braids or a wig cap when their natural hair isnt done is antiblack is just so honestly insane to me. Again no where did they say they hate their black hair
@foxxyscleo@kacchaket@bauble_k@herexcellenceee@skirtoverpants1 Skin bleaching is permanent and rooted in colorism to alter your race. Wearing wigs or styling your hair differently because you dont take care of your hair is not trying to be white, it's just styling making that comparison is a massive reach.
@kacchaket@bauble_k@herexcellenceee@skirtoverpants1@foxxyscleo Which I agree, we should NEVER normalize self-hate and insecurity to that extent and it is horrible and horrific and honestly makes me so sad. That’s why we need to create trends that will help normalize moments of low confidence.
@skirtoverpants1@bauble_k@herexcellenceee@kacchaket@foxxyscleo Also as someone who is married to a lovely handsome man with 4c hair I would never want him to spread that type of self hate on to others. I teach him to love it and take care of it (and I am a licensed cosmetologist) so I appreciate every hair type and wish more would
@kacchaket@bauble_k@herexcellenceee@skirtoverpants1@foxxyscleo First of all, tightly coiled/kinky hair exists across multiple indigenous groups globally, not just Black people but even if it was, a physical trait being tied to a race doesn't make a personal insecurity a hate crime.
@kacchaket@bauble_k@herexcellenceee@skirtoverpants1@foxxyscleo You're talking about posting for a trend, I'm talking about the actual root emotion. Sharing an insecurity online doesn't rewrite what an insecurity actually is and doesn’t make it antiblack bc blk people are participating.
