Oregon fans there will be no tolerance for hating on Dan Lanning!! That man is a winner. 4 seasons under his belt and all that he's accomplished. Just watch these next few years will prove that right now he's just scratching the surface as far as how good oregon can get.
Some Oregon thoughts
Last night was a horror show and not the ideal way to end the season. Doesn't change where the progrum is at. Right on track. 4th season for Lanning and the team has improved each year and has gotten further in each season. Lanning is 39 years old and he's 48-8. Shown the ability to adapt, grow and self reflect. If you're out on him that's a you problem.
If I told you Oregon made the semis this season with new starters at LT, LG, RT, QB, WRs, RBs, 2 DTs, LB, entire secondary, which included multiple freshman at WR, RB and secondary ... successful season.
I think Moore is back, plus 10 and 44 on the DL. 18 and 31 are gone. The question is Washington. But otherwise the roster is where it needs to be.
Oregon will need upgrades at OT. I whiffed on World. Thought he'd improve but didn't. Harkey is an OG playing OT. Crader looks legit for LT and Wilson for OT. I'm sure they add a portal guy or two here.
The defense needs a green dot MLB in the portal. LBs might have improved the most on defense this season but that would be the biggest portal addition imo.
Pass rush needs to improve in general. Adding Wyatt into the mix next season will be awesome.
My biggest wish for the offense under Mehringer is an expanded passing game. It's difficult to be built via the OL/run game while also having an extensive passing game. Normally have to pick one lane to major in but the passing game just needs new concepts and formations. It needs to have answers for the better defenses that we face. I am curious if there's another add to the offensive staff now that there's time to make those additions.
Anyways... I believe in the staff and program. Go Ducks
It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month.
It’s about oil and regime change.
And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from Epstein + skyrocketing healthcare costs.
Look … injuries happen. It’s part of the game. This game was always going to be a grind and I expect that game. We got plenty of dudes to win this game. Have to get it done. No excuses.
The new Tylenol thing fits a broader theme of MAHA, which is that despite the welcome attention it pays to chronic disease, these folks are way too skeptical about the harms of medicine and way too credulous that we can perfectly engineer good behavior to banish sickness.
See, for example, the hysterical fears about vaccines (medicines are dangerous) and the enthusiasm about supplements, which have no efficacy data and are clearly under-regulated as a category.
"We want to prevent every disease and pain so that nobody has to use medicines" is a utopian goal, but it's completely unrealistic, and if you try to make it policy, you're going to end up with a policy that just punishes the sick and pained for the sin of their sickness and pain.
This guy has faced so much adversity throughout his career, yet he’s always stayed true to himself.
One of the best teammates I’ve ever had, I’m honored to call Marcus a friend.
Marcus should easily be a starting QB in this league.
It's ghoulish to mock or justify the shooting of Charlie Kirk. Rising political violence is a horror of our time. Unchecked it will lead to catastrophes none of us want to imagine.
Deeply hoping he pulls through. We are all people, whatever we believe. That has to come first.
