If you grew up in the Bay in the 80’s/90’s you had the poster, you had the batting gloves you had the glasses, you WERE Rickey. Rickey Could do it all. The game could be 1-0 after the first pitch. The game could be 1-0 without a ball in play in the first inning. The charisma, competitiveness, the class, the sense of community. My heart breaks for his family & his brothers in this game.

We’re gonna miss ya Rickey. Every damn day. Thank you for your years of friendship & tutelage. Thank you for making everyone you came across feel like a Hall of Famer.
