The House just passed a resolution to end the Iran War- with no thanks to Jeff Crank. Instead of joining in this bipartisan effort to stop the chaos, rising prices, and waste of taxpayer money that this war has caused, Jeff Crank voted to continue the conflict. We need a member of Congress who is not afraid to stand up to their own party and do what is best for their constituents and our national security. Over 1.3 million Americans have paid the ultimate sacrifice in protecting and defending our democracy since the birth of our great country 250 years ago. Today, I had the opportunity to pay homage to those heroes at the Monument Memorial Day ceremony. Let us never forget their service and sacrifice. And let’s continue to build and perfect a nation that is worthy of it.

We need to improve our political discourse in this country. And that’s why we need Members of Congress who will lead by example and have the courage to engage in those challenging conversations. Jeff Crank voted twice for the Iran War. Now, he and his party bosses have to cancel votes because they know they’ll lose. Jeff Crank is raising our costs, and El Paso County families are feeling the strain. We deserve better.

Veterans for Responsible Leadership is proud to endorse U.S. Army Veteran, Jessica Killin, for U.S. House to represent Colorado's 5th District. Jessica served as a Captain and paratrooper in the U.S. Army, where she was stationed overseas and led soldiers as a Military Police Officer. Jessica was active in peacekeeping missions in the Balkans and NATO expansion throughout Europe.

After leaving the military she served for years as a veterans advocate with USAA and then on Capitol Hill.

There is no one better to fight for the constituents of Colorado’s 5th District than a former paratrooper. She will be a champion for veterans’ healthcare.
