Hi @TELUSsupport, I'm trying to return my modem but can't do so because of the Canada Post strike. Reached out to your customer care team, but call wait times are over an hour. What do I do now?
@TELUS@TELUSsupport In short, I wasted nearly 4 hours, trying to get your business and got under-delivered on internet and did not even receive mobility service. You call this customer service? Pathetic.
This I found out after proactively calling @TELUSsupport for another 1.5 hours. So, that's internet. About mobile, they conveniently cancelled the sim card without any intimation cos their agent got my address wrong. The same address where they set up internet!
I spent over 2.5 hours speaking to @TELUS sales on 3 different calls to set up my internet & mobile connection. When the technician came to connect wifi, he said the home only has access to half the speed promised on the sales call. But, apparently, I have to pay the same price.
@ronmortgageguy@Metabrate Still wondering about the environmental impact plus services like public transport. More sprawl would make frequent and reliable public transport much more costly? Considering transport emissions are one among the highest.
@Metabrate@ronmortgageguy Wondering how sprawl is a good idea. Other than the environmental/green space impact, doesn't it increase costs for the city to build infrastructure?
@XiMeNaKa Besides reliability & frequency, which are big issues, I've also wondered about convenient design. Most platforms in Calgary are open to elements & terrible in winter. Why not have the bus go closer to the entrance at this station (nearest to me). More accessible, less cold.
@TheCritninja@XiMeNaKa In a place like Calgary, where it is more or less cold 6 months of the year, wouldn't it be easier to convince people to take transit (if it is frequent and convenient) than ask them to ride a bike in the cold? I'm talking from the perspective of change in a mode of transport.
@sakie339 I think, place names also vary in languages. Can take the same example. In Malayalam, it's 'Keralam'. So both English 'Kerala' & Hindi 'Keral' are not correct, if we only go by native language names.
You don’t have to agree with my opinion that Catholic schools should not receive public funding in #OntEd, but maybe I’m on to something if it elicits these types of responses. 🤷🏾♂️
If you come to the UK illegally:
➡️ You can’t claim asylum
➡️ You can’t benefit from our modern slavery protections
➡️ You can’t make spurious human rights claims
➡️ You can’t stay
@StrongTowns People have such fond memories of college partly because it's the only time in their lives they ever got to live in a dense, walkable community.
Did the Douglas Fir trail in #yyc last weekend. Some sections were covered in ice and quite challenging. Fun and had some beautiful views of the city. #Walk#Hike#Calgary
@pendown Wondering what the logic behind the tax was. Assuming a lot of vacant houses are migrants, wouldn't taxing these homes discourage people from investing in Kerala?
@lovercio_lucas@XiMeNaKa Oh, totally relate. The lack of weekend transit is disappointing. I live around 4kms from Calgary Tower and rely completely on transit to get around. But coming home on weekend nights from downtown is such a pain.
