A pioneering new gene therapy treatment for glioblastoma is set to begin clinical trials in early 2026.
This approach aims to target and destroy tumour cells while training the immune system to fight them long-term. The work is led by company Trogenix, co-founded by Professor Steve Pollard - Director of our Scottish Centre of Excellence.
This is a welcome step forward in the fight to find a cure. 💛

18 years ago today I became Mrs Killpartrick but 3 years ago today Paul took his last breath because #gliobastoma won the battle with him. The happy memories clash with the very painful x
@braintumourrsch we support you x
@Ceremonies_UK We had a humanist funeral for my husband and so many people commented on how lovely it was, how it felt like a celebration of his life and that they’d never been to one before (neither had I) but it had made them think about that they would like.
A "world-first trial" that could change how we treat brain cancer in the UK, has been announced!
Known as the 5G platform trial, it will test new treatments for #glioblastoma (GBM) patients, using a unique approach.
