I hope they never are.

These are my notes from the courtroom. I could barely write because I could not see through my tears. The Metcalf family was shaking and sobbing. I was shocked that the bodycam footage was shown while Austin’s family was in the room. It was traumatic. It was haunting.

The Anthony supporter’s did not shed a tear. Stone faced.

Hunter’s screams, along with the coach yelling, “Stay with me, Austin! Stay with me!” on the 911 call, will forever linger in my mind.

Jeff Metcalf gets multiple texts, calls, and voicemails threatening his life on a daily basis.

This has been going on for over a year and there hasn’t been a single arrest yet.

Meanwhile someone who said threatening comments about Karmelo Anthony was arrested on the spot outside of the courthouse as black people were chanting death to all White people right in front of the police with zero consequences.

Jeff says he’s concerned about future generations if we continue going down this path of hatefulness and not valuing human life.

He hopes that his message can be heard and help inspire a change.
