@simonharris_mbd@fesshole I set up a food bank. We received authoritative guidance from LAs+ advising against supplying formula. As a breastfeeding mum this was enraging - doing it requires significant time, support & nourishment for mum, exactly what those in food crisis often don’t have. Great campaign!
Solidarity with my brave and talented former colleagues who care deeply about their work and drive a remarkable organisation forward.
I don’t endorse specific criticism. But I wholeheartedly support this collective action which at its heart aims to see the RSA succeed.
📢 HUGE NEWS! 📢
Staff at the RSA have voted OVERWHELMINGLY for the first strike action in the organisation’s history.
With a 79% turnout and a 93% vote in favour, we'll be on strike on Tuesday 19th and Thursday 21st of September.

#TheBigOne is BIG! 60,000 people just marched for biodiversity. 60,000 people are doing the work this #EarthDay, demanding change and uniting to survive 💚
Incredible atmosphere today, street performances everywhere and so much care shown by demonstrators and stewards to ensure street safety. Kiddo has been drumming the whole way home after dancing on the streets all day #TheBigOne#UniteToSurvive
#TheBigOne started at 7am, with People’s Pickets at every major gov department in Whitehall. People are calling for urgent new policies to deal with issues including the cost of living crisis, failure to insulate homes, & failure to protect vulnerable migrants seeking safety here
I teach college music theory, but I'm also a new dad. I decided to combine my professional and personal identities and make a thread of music for babies where the adult musicians went way, way harder than they had to. (1/12)
One child home as school closed, another home as no nursery space due to underfunding, a relative recovering from emergency NHS care this week & I keep rescheduling work arrangements because trains. Not the easiest to work around, but I still #SupportTheStrikes#EnoughlsEnough
Solidarity with 1/2 million teachers & public sector workers striking today - it’s tough for them & those relying on them too. Strikes are happening because instead of *listening* to workers, Govt is proposing an anti-strike Bill to ignore them further. This can’t go on. @The_TUC
Are you experienced in working with community groups to create change? We are looking for a Partnership Officer to support our funded partners to address unfair health inequalities and contribute to the successful delivery of our funding programmes.

🥁It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for… the RSA ballot results are in! With a whopping 86% of the vote, and 85% turnout – the RSA have voted IN FAVOUR of recognition! You can read all about it in the latest from @TomWall and @theGuardian here….https://t.co/v9JyDgF9k9
So despite a petition, a survey, and a majority vote showing that @theRSAorg staff would like to unionise with @iwgb, management are refusing voluntary recognition and insist we'd be better off with a staff representative group🙄Here’s why we want union recognition instead: a 🧵
Hearing how this is unfolding stirs up such difficult feelings. I hope those in the middle of it all - who are likely feeling vulnerable/at risk - are finding support in the collective.
🚨Important update - please RT🚨Thank you! We were blown away by the support we received in the last few days. Sadly, one of our union colleagues involved in the Observer article on Sunday was prevented from returning to work on Monday as a consequence of their involvement. 1/6
Solidarity with my former colleagues - a brilliant, committed group of people - who are seeking to form the #RSAUnion. The staff voice is valuable and needs to be heard.
We’re the RSA union, a majority collective of staff working with @IWGBunion towards recognition. You can find out more about why we’re seeking recognition in today’s @ObserverUK by @_tomwall and here’s a short🧵on how you can support us 1/6
