MERCY TUESDAY
(Psalm 72:13-14)
His (God’s) mercy is upon the weak and the poor, he will be their protector. He rescues them from oppression and strife, for their life is precious to him.
Prayer for Mercy:
Merciful Father, on this Mercy Tuesday I come before You with trust in Your Word for today. Lord, see me in my weakness and draw close to me. Have mercy on me and set me free from everything that weighs me down. Break every chain in my life and deliver me from every snare that has brought sickness, setbacks, failures, or disappointment. Give me joy for the times I’ve known misfortune. Stay with me, Lord. Walk with me. Strengthen me. Let this Mercy Tuesday bring me help, relief, and assurance that You are near and You care for me. Amen.

MERCY TUESDAY
(Psalm 16:5)
O Lord, it is you who are my portion and cup; it is you yourself who are my prize.’
Prayer for Mercy:
Merciful Father, on this Mercy Tuesday, I wish to say clearly that You are enough for me.
You are my portion and my cup. I don’t need to run after so many things to feel complete. In You, I already have what my heart truly needs.
Have mercy on me for the times I forgot this, when I chased things that could not satisfy me, when I put other things before You. Forgive me, Lord, and draw me back.
Give me a simple heart that loves You, a humble heart that depends on You, and a faithful heart that stays with You.
Lord, let me experience the power of Your resurrection in my life.
Today, I choose You again.
You are enough for me. Amen.
Jesus, I trust in you !

MERCY TUESDAY
(Psalm 102:2)
Do not hide your face from me when I am in trouble. Turn your ear to me; answer me at once when I call.
Prayer for Mercy:
Merciful Father, turn Your gaze toward me in mercy and hide not Your face from me when my heart is overwhelmed. Incline Your ear to my prayer, hear the cry I cannot fully express in words. In my weakness, be my strength. In my confusion, be my light. Where I am burdened, be my relief.
Answer me, O Merciful Lord, according to Your will and for my good. Teach me to trust even before the answer comes, and to remain faithful in the waiting. May my distress draw me closer to You and not away from You, amen.
Jesus, I trust in you !

MERCY TUESDAY
(Psalm 86:6-7)
Listen, O Lord, to my prayer, hear the voice of my pleading. I call on you in times of trouble, for you will answer me.
Prayer for Mercy:
Merciful Father, on this Mercy Tuesday, in this February of divine delight, I come to You in my affliction, trusting that Your mercies never fail.
Lord, You see my burdens, my worries, and my hidden pains. May Your mercy speak for me today. Where I am weak, be my strength. Where I am hurting, be my healer. Deliver me in my day of trouble. Draw near to my broken places and release sufficient grace for me. Amen.
Jesus, I trust in you !

MERCY TUESDAY
(Psalm 25:1-2)
In you, Lord my God, I put my trust…. do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.
Prayer for Mercy:
Merciful Father, to You I lift up my soul.
In You I place my trust. Give me the gift of Your Son, Jesus - the Light that dispels darkness and the Word that silences the voice of defeat.
Lord, let this Christmas mark a turning point in my life. May the humility of the manger destroy the pride of opposition. May the glory that rested in Bethlehem rest upon my destiny. As angels announced good news of great joy, may joy be announced in my home. As the shepherds found the Child, may I find answers, direction, and peace.
This Christmas, I declare by faith:
My trust in You will not end in disappointment.
My hope will not be mocked.
And my waiting will not be wasted. Amen.
Jesus, I trust in you !

I first met Charlie Kirk about four years ago when I was in Phoenix for a speaking engagement. He reached out and invited me to breakfast. I was deeply impressed by him that day. He was a man of great intelligence, considerable charm, and real goodness of heart.
I reconnected with him just last year, after I saw him debate twenty-five young people who were, to put it mildly, hostile to his views. I texted him that I was so struck by how he kept his cool and his charitable attitude in the face of some pretty obnoxious opposition. I then asked him to appear as a guest on my interview program, “Bishop Barron Presents,” and he eagerly accepted my invitation. He was scheduled to come to Rochester, Minnesota in about ten days. The last contact we had was two nights ago. After I appeared on one of the evening news shows to talk about the Religious Liberty Commission, he texted me and told me how much he appreciated what I said and then added, “I’m excited to join you on your show soon. God bless you.”
That last sentence shows what was most important to Charlie. He was indeed a great debater and also one of the best advocates in our country for civil discourse, but he was, first and last, a passionate Christian. In fact, when we had that breakfast in Phoenix, we didn’t talk much about politics. We talked about theology, in which he had a deep interest, and about Christ. I know I’m joining millions of people around the world in praying that he rests now in the peace of the Lord.
@Eric__Bernard Pole sana Ben. May the soul of your mother rest in peace! May you find comfort in the memories and may your unshaken faith be the strength you need to overcome this huge loss. Pole sana
