We hear the painful reality that many survivors of gender-based violence are forced to recount their experience repeatedly to the police, healthcare providers, investigators, prosecutors, and in court. Each retelling reopens wounds.
For too many, the process becomes so overwhelming that they abandon their pursuit of justice altogether.
This is a failure of our institutions. Kenya must adopt a survivor-centred justice system that minimizes repeated testimony by strengthening coordination between agencies, and expanding access to trauma-informed support which will ensure GBV cases are heard and concluded without unnecessary delay.
Let us build institutions that protect survivors with dignity and hold perpetrators swiftly to account.

@NemaKenya JCC church in Ngong are the most insensitive, selfish bunch!
What god do they ascribe to?
They are based in a residential area, a bungalow to be precise but the noise levels they emit can wake the dead!
