i dont think people realize how beneficial being alone for awhile is. taking time off from relationships, finding out who you are & what you want out of your life, learning to love yourself and growing, learning to be content and happy without needing someone. Its crucial.
A man calling you "baby" means nothing. A man calling you his girlfriend means nothing. A man giving you a baby means nothing. I'm about to hurt some feelings with this next one... A man marrying you means ΝΟΤΗING. You know what actually means something? A man changing himself, his lifestyle, and his ways because he doesn't want to lose you. THAT'S what means something.
I owe my time and autonomy to no one but me. That’s something I’ll always remind people of no matter how much I rock with you, you’ll never be more important to me than I am to myself.
this is actually my biggest issue with dating as whole. whole routine thrown off, habits disrupted, discipline tested just because you want to spend quality time with someone lol
i wake up, i cry over spilt milk, put all of my eggs in one basket, bite off more than i can chew, jump the gun, fly off the handle and then die on that hill
Is anyone else ever genuinely shocked when you find out you have an impact on someone's life? A coworker can be like "I've missed seeing you" and I'm just like "???? you?? missed me????? My presence has an effect on your daily experience???? i affect things??? What???"
we NEED to normalize being in your 20's and having 0 experience with love & relationships. you are not unloveable. you are not ugly. you are not broken. you are not a lost cause. not prioritizing romantic love isn't embarrassing. it is never "too late". take your time
