@elonmusk, my students think you'd be the ideal person to interview about innovation. Any chance you'd join a video conference with a group of high school juniors one day?
@MichaelJohnRoe
made me realize today that avoiding conflict might also mean avoiding what makes another person human. Ignoring our differences means damping down the fire at your (or my) core, instead of exploring how to light up the world together.
Day 1 COVID-19 homeschool part 2a: when the wood is too wet to burn, increase oxygen (so far, it appears we have covered automechanics, culinary, and chemistry)
@wellfitchad I’d love to send you one from the epicenter of the virus, here in WA but do you want it? You could like... hot iron to disinfect it I guess?
I told my students that @BreneBrown said to embrace the suck and to own their stories. They said “prove it.” So I did. It was terrifying: https://t.co/JJR8UWkILb
@conniedraws @MonteSyrie Absolutely! I have been burnt out too often; just showing up takes all I have. We can’t save everyone—or anyone, for that matter; we aren’t saviors. But we CAN connect with one today, and another one tomorrow, in small and sincere ways.
@teachinginrm30@KathrynSLong2 You are not alone! Most mornings I sit outside the school, coaching myself to get out of the car. Sometimes the only thing keeping me going is that wall behind me in my pic: Thank you notes from 8 years of students. Make a difference in one life today, and do it again tomorrow.
