✍🏼 Review so far:

As I previously said, the viewer’s have a misconception about the identity of the main leads. The tweets I have been reading so far. This is not about choosing between 𝐉𝐨𝐨 𝐄𝐮𝐧 𝐇𝐨 and 𝐉𝐨𝐨 𝐇𝐲𝐞 𝐑𝐢 or 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐲𝐮𝐧 𝐎 and 𝐊𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐉𝐮 𝐘𝐞𝐨𝐧 for 𝐄𝐮𝐧 𝐇𝐨 or rather 𝐇𝐲𝐞 𝐑𝐢. From the very first episode, there was no confusion about who the ML (Male Lead) was and his future prospective role. The biggest clue in the last 10 episodes is the silent communication through eyes between 𝐄𝐮𝐧 𝐇𝐨 and 𝐇𝐲𝐮𝐧 𝐎 that overshadowed their verbal dialogues. I myself mistook it for less screen time for 𝘓𝘦𝘦 𝘑𝘪𝘯 𝘜𝘬 as a ML, which to some point is true and a flaw in the script.

The drama started with the first indication that this was not a love story per say. Viewers forgot that this is not a romcom, but a melodrama. There is bound to be relationship flaws between ML and FL (Female Lead). As I caught up with the latest episode I was reminded not to fall for shipping tweets and try to understand the perspective by watching the drama myself. There was no misconception from the beginning who the ML was between 𝐉𝐮 𝐘𝐞𝐨𝐧 and 𝐇𝐲𝐮𝐧 𝐎. I don’t know how to explain this — 𝐉𝐮 𝐘𝐞𝐨𝐧 was a fragmentation or rather an example of what went through between 𝐄𝐮𝐧 𝐇𝐨 and 𝐉𝐢 𝐎𝐧 — that will be implemented on him as well.

This story was a matter of hurt between two individuals, 𝐄𝐮𝐧 𝐇𝐨 and 𝐇𝐲𝐮𝐧 𝐎. If everything was lovely dovey, what was the point of the story to begin with? We can’t be subjective about pain, who is hurting more than the other or whose hurt makes more sense. The relationships are all about finding one-another. 𝐄𝐮𝐧 𝐇𝐨 loved 𝐇𝐲𝐮𝐧 𝐎 but she was incapable of expressing her love, because of her hurt regarding her sister. This is why she has always been insecure about her love towards 𝐇𝐲𝐮𝐧 𝐎 as shown in the prologue and that is why we always saw her questioning 𝐇𝐲𝐮𝐧 𝐎 about his love for her. She was always psychologically ill and that triggered when the person she loved the most left her. Now, here’s 𝐄𝐮𝐧 𝐇𝐨 battling two pains together of losing her sibling and lover which led her to develop 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘐𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳.

She tried to fall for 𝐉𝐢 𝐎𝐧 as 𝐄𝐮𝐧 𝐇𝐨 and 𝐉𝐮 𝐘𝐞𝐨𝐧 as 𝐇𝐲𝐞 𝐑𝐢, but as real self her heart always belonged to 𝐇𝐲𝐮𝐧 𝐎 — who by the way, made a lot of mistakes when it came to 𝐄𝐮𝐧 𝐇𝐨, but he too was on a learning path alongside her.

𝐉𝐨𝐨 𝐄𝐮𝐧 𝐇𝐨 and 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐲𝐮𝐧 𝐎 loved each other, but 𝐇𝐲𝐮𝐧 𝐎 wanted to save his love by not introducing her to his responsibilities toward his family that included many seniors living an alternative lifestyle and his insecurity of being left alone by loved ones as well. On the other hand, 𝐄𝐮𝐧 𝐇𝐨 could not share her pain of loosing her sister and the psychological discomfort she faced and that was also the reason she could not 100% give herself to this relationship and could not enjoy being happy, until it was too late. When she was officially diagnosed, she became embarrassed, too embarrassed to deal with her emotions and tried to find comfort in 𝐉𝐢 𝐎𝐧 and 𝐉𝐮 𝐘𝐞𝐨𝐧 instead, both men who loved her in return in their own ways.

There are still two episodes left, and we don’t know whether the story will take a twist. Or what choice 𝐄𝐮𝐧 𝐇𝐨 will make. It’s nerve wrecking!

So far my ship is winning though and rightfully so! I mean, what a scene…!
